Electrician – Non-Process Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join the team at Iron Valley, based out of Newman. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI), supporting the safe, reliable operation of critical site services.

n

This role is ideal for a practical, solutions-focused electrician with strong experience in generator maintenance and fault-finding, along with bore pump systems and wider NPI electrical infrastructure.

The role

n

Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment across site NPI assets.

n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

n

- Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on NPI electrical infrastructure
n
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on diesel generators, generator control systems and associated switchgear
n
- Maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing bore pumps, water supply systems and associated electrical controls
n
- Working across camp, village, workshop, communications, water, power generation and other site-services infrastructure
n
- Completing electrical installations, testing, commissioning and compliance checks
n
- Responding to breakdowns efficiently to minimise disruption to critical site services
n




- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site safety requirements, electrical standards and maintenance procedures
n
- Accurately recording maintenance activities, inspections and work completed in the site maintenance system
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance asset reliability and safety
n

What you will bring

n

n
- WA Electrical Worker's Licence
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Demonstrated experience as an electrician in a mining, resources, industrial or remote-site environment
n
- Strong practical experience with diesel generators, including maintenance, fault-finding and controls
n
- Experience with bore pumps, water infrastructure, pump control systems and associated electrical equipment
n
- Sound understanding of electrical maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis
n
- A robust commitment to safety, quality work and working collaboratively within a site team
n
- The ability to work independently, prioritise work effectively and respond calmly to breakdown situations
n
