We are seeking a motivated Career Development Consultant to join our supportive team in Bathurst. This full-time, fixed-term position to 30 June 2027 offers the prospect to make a meaningful impact through our funded Career Development Programs.

n

Working directly with young people aged 15-21 who are disengaged from education, employment or training, you'll provide individual career mentoring, guidance and support to help them reconnect with learning, discover career pathways and achieve their goals.

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

- Promote and Refer: Actively market the program and develop strong relationships with external partners, such as schools and TAFE to generate referrals.
n
- Case Management: Conduct initial interviews, assess training needs and provide ongoing case management to ensure participants are engaged and progressing towards their career goals.
n
- Holistic Support: Connect participants with relevant community services, including health, accommodation and other support services.
n
- Training and Employment Pathways: Work closely with TAFE NSW, local High Schools and the Skillset Recruitment team to ensure training programs align with participants' career aspirations and facilitate pathways to employment.
n
- Documentation and Reporting:



Maintain accurate participant records, reporting documentation and meet all funding partner requirements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

n

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Ability to engage and motivate young people
n
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
n
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals in achieving their full potential
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
n
- Current Class C Driver's licence
n
- Current Paid Working with Children's Check
n
- Flexibility to regularly travel to Central West locations using a company-supplied vehicle, with overnight stays as required
n

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

n

n
- Experience in case management or a related field
n
- Knowledge of training and employment pathways, including partnerships with educational and community organisations
n
- Experience in employment services, youth work or vocational education and training
n
