The role centres on companionship, supporting participation in activities, maintaining social connection and engaging more actively within the community.

n

While some aspects of these positions may overlap with disability support work, these roles are focused on companionship. Companions will be expected to actively participate rather than simply attend, remain present and complete routine support tasks.

n

Our ideal candidate is currently studying at university and looking for flexible casual work they can maintain alongside their studies for the next few years. They are physically active and have their own hobbies and interests to share.

n

The role includes both in-home and out-of-home activities.

n

You'll work independently and communicate directly about activities, preferences and scheduling. Good judgement, confidence and the ability to manage changing situations without close supervision are significant.

n

There are three positions we're currently looking to fill, based across Victoria Park, Scarborough and Hillarys. The interests associated with the positions vary, so we're looking for companions whose own personality and interests align naturally with the activities involved.

Across all three positions, applicants should be open minded, reliable and caring, with a genuine interest in engaging with others and building rapport.

The interests and activities associated with the three positions include:

- Gym, social sport, watching sport, swimming, walks, cafes, movies and attending sporting events
n
- Beach, picnics, animals, reading, bookstores, quiet cafes, simple cooking, markets, board games, relaxed day trips and an interest in different cultures
n
- Fashion, shopping, cafes, restaurants, markets, homewares,



wellness activities and travel

You don't need to share every interest listed above. We're more interested in finding companions who have enough common ground to contribute naturally to conversation and shared activities.

There are no fixed weekday availability requirements, however applicants will need to have some regular availability between Monday and Friday.

n

This position may not suit someone seeking guaranteed full-time hours, fixed weekly shifts, remote work or a traditional disability support position.

About the Candidate

- Bubbly, confident and nurturing personality

- Warm, socially aware and comfortable in client-facing environments

- Able to work independently without close supervision

- Some regular weekday availability,
n
- Previous experience as a waitress or in another hospitality role (desirable), or as a hostess or bottle service attendant (strongly desirable)
n
- Previous babysitting experience (desirable)
n
- Experience in a client-facing, promotional or presentation-focused environment
