About the Opportunity

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Fire Suppression Technician to join our team in Virginia.

Reporting to the Supply and Assembly Supervisor - Fire Suppression, you will undertake a broad range of manufacturing and assembly activities to build fire suppression systems and components. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality products that support customer safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and complete assembly orders in accordance with work orders.
- Assemble and test fire suppression systems and system components.
- Pick and pack installation kits to support customer requirements.
- Complete and close out work orders within the ERP system.
- Monitor and provide feedback on manufacturing inventory levels, particularly for common assemblies.
- Safely operate forklifts, vacuum lifting devices and other manual handling equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve customer and operational outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience within a manufacturing, assembly or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with contemporary manufacturing processes.
- A current Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Sound computer skills and confidence using workplace systems.
- Good manual dexterity and physical fitness.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and achieving team objectives.
- The ability to adapt to customer requirements,



procedures and safety standards.
