We are expanding aggressively and looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to join the expanding Engineering Department for the repair, maintenance and improvement of existing manufacturing process. You will beresponsible for fault finding and proactively repairing machinery as well as preventative maintenance which enables the production team to produce high quality products
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment including seamers, fillers, blenders etc
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding
- Repair of production machinery parts, replacement of production machinery parts
- Complete preventative maintenance and reactive worksheets from Maintenance Scheduling Program
- Planning and implementation of various maintenance projects
- Daily maintenance and breakdown support across the site.
- Preventive maintenance planning and follow-up.
- Resolve equipment failures and downtime issues.
- Critical spare parts and maintenance purchasing.
- Contractor and supplier management.
- Shutdown work, installations and engineering projects.
- LOTO, guarding, working at height and other engineering safety requirements.
- Maintenance records, drawings, manuals and PLC backups.
- Working closely with production and QA under our GMP and food-safety requirements.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of threeyears of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
- Applicant to have had prior experience with automated filling and packaging equipment, vacuum and mechanical transfer systems and a sound knowledge of PLC-based equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues

Qualifications:
- Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter / Machinist Qualifications
- Electrical engineering knowledge is desirable
- Forklift licence is desirable
- Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
