About the Role

n

Stralis Energy is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter skilled in operating excavators around services to join our team on the New England Solar Farm, located near Armidale, NSW.
n With opportunities to work on subsequent projects across Australia, in this dual-skilled role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy diesel plant and equipment, as well as operating excavators as required on site.

The role will involve operating and maintaining excavators, and other plant and machinery, to support civil and electrical construction works. Including trenching, backfilling, material handling and general site activities.

We welcome applications from local candidates, and candidates travelling to the project on a roster basis.

This is a casual position with a start mid-late September

n

- Monday to Saturday - or 20 & 8 roster
n
- Above award hourly rates and applicable penalty rates.
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Drivers Licence is essential.
n
- HR Licence is desirable.
n
- White Card is essential.
n
- Machine operating licences such as Excavator and Telehandler are essential.
n
- Demonstrated experience operating excavators and other civil plant and machinery, including trenching and civil construction works.
n
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.
n
- Must be an experienced, competent and safety-conscious plant operator.
n
- Experience working on utility network projects, including Essential Energy or Energex, is highly desirable.
n
- Ability to work effectively on large-scale construction projects while adhering to strict safety standards and procedures.
n
- Show positive attention to detail and have the ability to work in a team environment with a can-do attitude.
n
- Be fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
n
- Able to pass daily breath testing and random drug testing on site.
