Alford Hydraulics & Engineering is looking for an additional team member to join our manufacturing plant in Dubbo, NSW.

This is a permanent, full-time position for the right person, working indoors at our factory in Douglas Mawson Drive with a friendly, experienced and dedicated team focused on quality, workmanship and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing
n
Cut required metals for cylinder components (using both Everising CNC saw and band saw).
n
Safely manage the daily movements of the steel store using overhead cranes, and other material handling devices.
n
Perform basic quality checks on delivered and cut materials.
n
Additional duties with the Assembly and Test teams as required (on-the-job training is provided).
n
Accurately and efficiently cut job lots, or one-off pieces, with minimal waste/offcuts.
n
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
n
Overtime hours available from time to time.
n
About you
n
A mechanical trade or background is an advantage.
n
Previous experience in a similar industry would be highly regarded.
n
Physically fit and able to safely manage heavy loads (using lifting equipment provided).
n
Forklift licence preferred, however support in obtaining a licence may be offered.
n
Overhead crane experience (preferred, however training will be provided).
n
Cutting-edge thinker, in touch with modern technology and practices.
n
Mature and reliable team member, who can work independently and as a team.
n
Positive can-do attitude, with an eye for detail.
n
Ability to prioritise and stay focused.
n
