We are seeking dynamic and skilled Band 6 Service Delivery Lead Nursefor an ongoing locum position in Brighton and the South Coast, focused on leading mobile units for phlebotomy services. This exciting opportunity offers competitive pay with rates of £26 per hour on weekdays, £29 per hour on Saturdays, and £33 per hour on Sundays on an umbrella basis. You will work a minimum of three shifts per week, providing vital blood collection services to support essential tests. Some shifts will operate Monday to Friday from 07:50 to 18:10, and Sundays from 10:50 to 15:55, with potential changes to the schedule in the future.

What you will do:

- Lead and motivate a team of Healthcare Assistants in daily phlebotomy operations.
n




- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed during each shift.
n
- Oversee clinic management, ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to clinical processes.
n
- Manage stock levels and coordinate with Service Managers about necessary supplies.
n
- Report all incidents accurately on the unit via in-phase and handle operational and clinical issues.
n
- Perform venepuncture for any unsuccessful blood collection attempts.
n
- Maintain a high standard for the clinical setting and carry out daily audits.
n
- Demonstrate strong leadership to ensure effective and effective team performance.

To be considered for this post, you must be a Band 6 or above with current competencies in venepuncture, cannulation, and blood drawing, and provide a certificate and DBS certificate alongside your CV. Candidates must be over 25 years old, hold a clean driving licence, and attend an induction with driving responsibilities included.
