We're looking for an experience Auto Electrician to join our team in Mackay QLD. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning a variety of Caterpillar machinery and equipment while delivering exceptional service and quality workmanship. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role.

What you'll be doing

- Deliver quality repairs – perform electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring equipment reliability and performance.

- Troubleshoot with confidence – identify and rectify electrical faults across a wide range of Caterpillar machinery and systems.
n
- Work safely every day – follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
n
- Use the best information – research and utilise current Caterpillar service information, schematics, and diagnostic tools to complete repairs efficiently.
n
- Maintain high standards – ensure all work is completed accurately, documented correctly, and meets quality expectations.

- Support customer outcomes – provide technical expertise and solutions that minimise equipment downtime and maximise productivity.

- Work collaboratively – partner with fellow tradespeople, supervisors, and support teams to achieve operational objectives.

What you'll need

n

A successful teammate will have experience in:

n

n
- Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
n
- Industry experience – experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, mobile plant, mining, construction, or agricultural machinery is highly regarded.
n
- Robust technical skills – ability to interpret electrical schematics, fault-find, and utilise diagnostic equipment effectively.
n
- Safety focused – demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety with a proactive approach to risk management.
n
- Team player – ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership of individual tasks and responsibilities.
n
- Attention to detail – pride in delivering quality workmanship and getting the job done right the first time.
n
- Current driver's licence – a valid driver's licence is required; additional licences and tickets will be highly regarded.
