For the Gold Coast / Brisbane region, we are looking for a Service Technician.

About the Role

n

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Service Technician to join our Spheros Australia Team across the greater Brisbane / Gold Coast area. In this dynamic role, you will handle everything from end-to-end HVAC installations on brand-new bus builds to field diagnostics, scheduled maintenance, and emergency breakdown repairs across all major bus and coach brands.

Your Responsibilities

n

Diagnostics, Repairs & Maintenance

n

n
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on all brands of bus and coach AC systems.
n
- Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults on 24V systems.
n
- Perform precise refrigerant gas leak location, recovery, and repair.
n
- Execute warranty repairs efficiently according to manufacturer guidelines.

Field Operations & Leadership

n

n
- Respond to breakdown calls and carry out field repairs across the greater Brisbane region.
n
- Provide high-level customer service and maintain qualified communication on-site.
n
- Mentor, guide, and train junior technicians and apprentices.
n

What We Are Looking For

n

Trade Qualifications:

n

n




- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification such as Automotive Air Conditioning Specialist or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic).
n

n

Technical Expertise:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience working on 24V heavy vehicle / bus and coach air conditioning systems.
n
- Proven skill in pipe soldering, hose fabrication, and wiring loom assembly.
n
- Strong diagnostic capability across electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration circuits.
n

n

Skills & Attributes:

- High attention to detail with a focus on safety and pre-commissioning accuracy.
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
n
- Passion for mentoring fellow staff and training apprentices.
n
- Licensing: Valid Australian Driver's Licence (MR or HR licence is highly regarded).
n
