The Role
n
We are currently looking for a Payroll Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end payroll processing for our clients across Australia, New Zealand, PNG, Fiji, and other regions.
n
You will act as a trusted partner and first point of contact for your client portfolio, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Payroll Processing
n
n
- Manage end-to-end payroll (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) for multiple clients
n
- Prepare, calculate and process wages, payslips, and reports
n
- Handle payroll reconciliations and employee payments
n
- Ensure compliance with local regulations (ATO, Super, Payroll Tax, IRD, etc.)
n
- Manage all lodgements and payments (superannuation, payroll tax, terminations, leave, etc.)
n
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee records
n
- Stay up to date with payroll legislation and regulatory changes
n
- Contribute to process improvements and payroll-related projects
n
n
Client Management
n
n
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and their employees
n
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
n
- Manage and respond to payroll-related queries in a timely manner
n
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality service
n
- Keep up to date with payroll regulations and industry trends
n
- Develop a strong understanding of Polyglot's services and global operations
n
n
About You
n
n
- Previous payroll experience is a plus (but not essential)
n
- Strong knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping principles
n
- High attention to detail and analytical mindset
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
n
- Strong client service and communication skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
- Familiarity with DataCom is advantageous
n
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
n
