Position Overview:

n

We are looking for an engaging, hands-on Environmental Advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, working a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster.

n

Located in North East Victoria, the Laceby Solar Farm integrates a 60 MW AC solar generation system with 240 MWh of battery energy storage, designed to deliver reliable, low-carbon power to the regional grid. Combining renewable generation and advanced storage to ensure firm, dispatchable clean energy, supporting grid stability and Australia's energy transition.

Working under the direction of the Group Head HSES and wider HSE team, you will provide practical environmental support across project and construction teams with a view to building our Environmental capability at AEC.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor environmental plans, permits, approvals and compliance requirements.
n
- Conduct environmental inspections, monitoring and audits to verify controls are effective.
n
- Maintain environmental records and support client and regulatory reporting.
n
- Identify environmental risks, implement corrective actions and support incident investigations and close-out.
n
- Work with Project Managers,



Supervisors and HSE teams to improve environmental and sustainability performance.
n
- Support environmental data collection, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
n

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

n

n
- Qualifications in Environmental, or a related discipline.
n
- 3 years + experience in environmental or sustainability roles, ideally within construction, renewables, civil or infrastructure.
n
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, ISO 14001 and industry requirements.
n
- Experience with environmental inspections, monitoring, risk assessments and incident reporting.
n
- Specific experience with erosion and sediment control and waste management preferred.
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
n
- Competent with environmental reporting systems and digital documentation.
n
- White Card and open Driver's Licence required.
