Skillset is seeking a reliable and motivated Meter Reader to join a regional water services team on a two-month casual contract with full-time hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has solid attention to detail and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You'll play an important role in helping ensure customers receive accurate water usage information while supporting the maintenance of essential water infrastructure throughout the region.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for reading, maintaining and replacing water meters, assisting with water network operations and delivering great customer service across local communities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct scheduled water meter readings and ensure data is accurately recorded
- Perform water meter replacements, testing and minor repairs
- Carry out water meter disconnections as directed
- Support the maintenance of individual water services
- Always maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:





- A current Class C Driver Licence and safe driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience in plumbing or water infrastructure environments (desirable)
