Help shape the next generation of resilient infrastructure across Australia and the Pacific with Haskoning. With a growing portfolio of exciting new projects secured, we are looking for a Senior Civil/BIM Modeler ready to lead high-quality digital delivery on work that makes a real impact.

You will lead civil modelling and documentation for infrastructure projects at Haskoning. You will take ownership of drawing and model packages from concept through detailed design, working closely with civil engineers, structural modelers, and project managers.

The role

Lead civil documentation delivery using Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD, from early layouts to coordinated detailed design and tender or construction issue packages.

Prepare detailed civil drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D, including but not limited to surface modelling, feature lines, grading, alignments, profiles and corridor modelling with assemblies and subassemblies. Model drainage and pipelines using gravity and pressure networks, calculate earthworks quantities, and produce coordinated plans, longitudinal sections, cross sections, and construction details.

Coordinate civil and structural interfaces, including levels, foundations, drainage, utilities and connections to existing infrastructure.

Apply BIM execution plans and manage model sharing, revisions and review comments in Autodesk Forma, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

Plan project drafting activities, estimate the effort required at each design stage, monitor progress, review deliverables and mentor less experienced modelers.

Essential experience and skills





At least 10 years of relevant civil modelling and drafting experience in a design consultancy workplace, including at least 5 years of local experience on Australian infrastructure projects.

Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with proven ability to lead project documentation from concept through detailed design.

Practical knowledge of civil engineering principles, Australian drafting conventions and applicable standards and client requirements.

Working knowledge of BIM workflows, civil and structural coordination, and model and document management in Autodesk Forma (ACC).

Ability to interpret engineering inputs, identify missing information, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.

Highly regarded

Experience with coastal protection and civil infrastructure, including revetments, seawalls, rock armour, breakwaters, levees, flood barriers and control systems, secant pile walls and temporary works, would be highly regarded. Additional strengths include knowledge of relevant Australian roadworks standards and experience with survey and bathymetric data integration, coastal earthworks, Navisworks and Autodesk ReCap.

Advanced knowledge of 12d Model, supported by demonstrated experience on civil infrastructure projects, would be a strong advantage.
