This role suits early childhood professionals who enjoy supporting educators, strengthening practice and helping children and families thrive.
About the role
You will visit educators at their residences and approved venues, provide mentoring and practical guidance, and monitor the quality and compliance of education and care. You will work closely with educators, families and service leaders to support children’s learning, development, safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to educator residences and approved venues.
- Mentor and coach educators in their daily practice and educational programs.
- Monitor compliance with the National Quality Framework, legislation and service policies.
- Identify career development needs and provide ongoing support.
- Contribute to quality improvement across the service.
Essential requirements
- An approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher qualification.
- At least two years’ experience in early childhood education and care.
- Previous experience as a Family Day Care Coordinator.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- Experience in compliance monitoring and quality improvement.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, organisation and time management skills.
- A current NSW Working with Children Check, child protection training, and First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management certificates.
- A current driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Experience with Harmony or similar childcare software, and with culturally and linguistically diverse educators and families, is highly regarded.
