Hair & Makeup Artist / Booking Consultant – Casual

This is a varied role combining hair & makeup artistry, client consultations and bookings. You will provide professional hair and makeup services for photography clients, consult with clients to understand their preferred look and create a style suited to their shoot, help clients feel confident, comfortable and camera-ready, welcome clients and provide a warm, professional experience, conduct client consultations and help clients choose the photography experience that best suits them, follow up enquiries and convert leads into bookings, answer phone calls, messages and enquiries, manage bookings and update client information, and assist with general studio duties and maintain a beautiful studio environment.

Key responsibilities

- Providing professional hair and makeup services for photography clients
- Consulting with clients to understand their preferred look and creating a style suited to their shoot
- Helping clients feel confident, comfortable and camera-ready
- Welcoming clients and providing a warm, professional experience




- Conducting client consultations and helping clients choose the photography experience that best suits them
- Following up enquiries and converting leads into bookings
- Answering phone calls, messages and enquiries
- Managing bookings and updating client information
- Assisting with general studio duties and maintaining a beautiful studio environment

About you

- Experienced or qualified in hair and makeup
- Confident creating polished, camera-ready looks
- Warm, friendly and naturally great with people
- Confident communicating with clients in person and over the phone
- Comfortable with sales and converting enquiries into bookings
- Professional, reliable and well presented
- Organised and able to multitask in a busy studio
- Positive, energetic and enjoys working as part of a small team
- Photography, beauty, fashion or studio experience is highly regarded
