Job Description
Fitter & Turner / Machinist - Manufacturing Industry
n
We are looking for a qualified Fitter & Turner or Machinist to operate manual lathes and report to the Workshop Leading Hand. CNC machining would be advantageous but not essential.
n
Would suit someone semi-retired, or someone looking for part time/permanent position.
n
Key responsibilities
n
Carry out machining operations on ductile iron pipe, screw cutting and fitting of flanges to satisfy requirements of design drawings and relevant Australian Standards
n
Carry out work in a tradesman like manner
n
Machinery maintenance and housekeeping
n
Adhere to instructions regarding QA and WHS obligations
n
About you
n
Qualified Fitter & Turner or Machinist
n
Able to operate manual lathes
n
CNC machining experience advantageous but not essential
