Are you a passionate Secondary Teacher who is committed to inspiring young people and creating engaging learning experiences?

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Secondary Teacher – Visual Arts to join our team in a permanent part time position working 5.5 hours per day, 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) teaching students across Years 7 to 12.
n
This is an exciting prospect to contribute to a supportive and collaborative Secondary team while delivering high-quality teaching and learning, with a particular focus on Visual Arts.

Your Role
n
n
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Visual Arts learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
n
- Create opportunities for students to explore, experience and develop their creative thinking and artistic skills.
n
- Use assessment and student data to inform teaching, monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
n
- Differentiate learning and use inclusive teaching practices to support the needs of diverse learners.
n
- Create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student wellbeing, participation and achievement.
n
- Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and reporting processes.
n
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students, families and colleagues.
n
- Collaborative with colleagues across the faculty and wider Secondary team to support excellent teaching and learning.
n
- Participate in pastoral care and contribute to the broacher co-curricular life of the College.
n
- Contribute to a spiritually vibrant College culture and actively support our Christian mission and values.

About You
n
You are an enthusiastic and creative educator who enjoys inspiring young people and helping them discover their individual strengths and artistic potential.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- A practising Christian faith and a commitment to actively supporting and promoting the College's Christian ethos.
n
- Experience teaching Visual Arts within a Secondary school setting.
n
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, QCAA requirements and contemporary assessment practices.
n
- The ability to design engaging and purposeful learning experiences while maintaining high expectations for student learning and achievement.
n
- Strong interpersonal, communication and classroom management skills.
n
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
n
- A Bachelor of Education or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
n
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT), or the ability to obtain registration.
n
