We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team in Clayton. This role is responsible for accurate financial accounting, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and consolidated financial reporting across our Australian and Chinese operations, with a particular focus on PRC statutory reporting, IFRS reporting and Australian tax compliance.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in delivering a timely and accurate month-end close, reliable consolidated reporting, effective financial controls and strong financial insights to support business decision-making The role is 4 days in office with the ability to work 1 day from home.

Key components of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Lead month-end financial accounting, including journals, reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
- Partner with business units on annual budgets, monthly forecasts and forecast-versus-actual analysis.
- Prepare monthly P&L; reviews, identifying key variances, drivers and financial trends.
- Prepare consolidated financial reporting across the Australian and PRC entities, including IFRS adjustments and intercompany eliminations.
- Coordinate PRC statutory reporting and Australian tax and statutory compliance requirements with internal teams and external advisers.
- Support audits,



financial controls and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate records and timely completion of reporting obligations.
- Provide financial insights and support to Finance and business stakeholders to assist with informed commercial decision-making.

As the successful candidate, you will require:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CPA/CA qualification or working towards completion.
- Approximately 5+ years' experience in financial accounting or reporting.
- Experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and partnering with business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements, with PRC reporting experience highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of Australian tax requirements, including income tax, BAS/GST and FBT.
- Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using an ERP system such as NetSuite or SAP desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Commercial and business teams.
