You will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness across Cottage by the Sea's two facilities, helping to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

n

- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, shared spaces and high traffic areas
n
- Changing linen and laundering
n
- Vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors
n
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, showers, toilets and kitchen counters
n
- Completing cleaning schedules and required documentation
n
- Maintaining, restocking and ordering of cleaning supplies/chemicals
n
- Conducting safety checks and reporting hazards and maintenance issues
n
- Follow safe work practices when using cleaning products, equipment and chemicals
n
- Follow protected manual handling practices
n
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure facilities are ready for our programs, visitors and events
n

About you

- Proven experience in cleaning
n
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and standards
n
- Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
n
- Current working with children check and Police check
n




- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in your work
n
- Friendly and co-operative
n
- Ability to follow instructions and manage workload in allotted time frame
n
- Able to work efficiently and effectively unsupervised
n
- Excellent organisation skills and time management
n
- Physically capable of undertaking the duties of the role, including standing, bending, lifting and moving cleaning equipment
n
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including participants, visitors, volunteers and other staff members
n
- Committed to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment
