Job Description

This is a role for an experienced Nursing Home Manager who can step into an established service, quickly understand what it needs and provide confident, consistent leadership from the outset.

Set in a beautiful location, the home provides high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care for older adults. There is a strong support structure around the service, but the home needs a Manager who can take genuine ownership of its day-to-day performance and provide the stability and direction needed for the long term.

Ideally, you'll be RGN or RMN qualified, although an exceptional non-nurse Manager with a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care and a strong track record of successfully managing a nursing home will also be considered.

We're looking for someone who understands the full responsibility of running a nursing service – from CQC, compliance and governance to staffing, occupancy and financial performance – and who can balance strong operational management with a genuine focus on residents and quality of care.

What We're Looking For

n

Ideally

n

RGN or RMN qualified with an active NMC registration

n

Exceptional non-nurse Managers with a

n

Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification and significant nursing home management experience will be considered

n

Previous experience successfully managing a home through

n

CQC inspections

n

Excellent knowledge of

n

compliance, clinical governance, safeguarding and quality assurance

n

Confidence identifying areas for improvement and putting effective action plans in place

n

Experience developing and retaining successful teams

n

Good

n

business acumen, with an understanding of budgets, occupancy,



staffing and the wider performance of a nursing home

Take overall responsibility for the successful

clinical, operational and financial performance of the nursing home

Provide strong and consistent leadership across nursing, care and support teams

Ensure the home remains compliant with

CQC and wider regulatory requirements

n

Lead preparation for CQC inspections and respond effectively to regulatory feedback

n

Maintain robust systems around clinical governance, audits, safeguarding and risk management

n

Monitor quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

n

Oversee recruitment, staffing, retention and team performance

n

Develop managers and senior colleagues to create a strong leadership structure within the home

n

Manage budgets and resources effectively

n

Maintain a clear focus on occupancy and the sustainable performance of the service

n

Build solid relationships with residents, families and external professionals

n

Ensure residents receive consistently safe, personalised and compassionate care

n
