About the Chance

n

We're seeking a Safety, Risk and Compliance Advisor to provide specialist leadership and advice across workplace health and safety, enterprise risk, compliance and governance. This is a key role supporting ADA Australia to meet its legislative, regulatory, contractual and governance obligations while strengthening organisational capability and continuous improvement.

This is a permanent part-time role (0.8 FTE / 32 hours per week) and can be based at either our Geebung or Woolloongabba office.

n

Working closely with the Executive Team, HR, Quality Officer and organisational leaders, you will play a critical role in shaping organisational safety, risk and compliance practices and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and continuously improve ADA Australia's WHS, risk and compliance frameworks
n
- Provide expert advice on WHS, psychosocial hazards, risk and compliance matters
n
- Lead audits, investigations, risk assessments and corrective action programs
n
- Monitor legislative, regulatory and sector developments
n
- Prepare reports, dashboards and recommendations for executive and Board audiences
n
- Build organisational capability through coaching, guidance and stakeholder engagement
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, risk and compliance functions
n

About You

n





You are an experienced safety, risk or compliance professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, influencing positive change and driving continuous improvement across an organisation.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Relevant qualifications and/or substantial senior-level experience in WHS, risk, compliance, governance or a related field
n
- Experience developing, implementing and reviewing WHS, risk or compliance management systems
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, psychosocial hazards, enterprise risk and compliance frameworks
n
- Experience leading audits, investigations, risk assessments and improvement programs
n
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills, including Board and executive reporting
n
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build organisational capability and provide expert advice.
n
- Experience in the community, aged care, disability, health or not-for-profit sector
n
- Lead Auditor, WHS, risk management or governance qualifications/certifications
n
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
n
- Current National Criminal History Certificate
n
- Ability to travel between ADA Australia's Brisbane offices and occasionally to regional locations
