The role

The role is 3 days per week, reporting to the Philanthropy and Communications Manager. The Community Engagement Lead will play a pivotal role in strengthening community connections, growing supporter engagement, and expanding fundraising initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with volunteers, community groups, local organisations, businesses, and key stakeholders, this role is responsible for building meaningful relationships that increase awareness, advocacy, and long-term community support.

This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity for a relationship-focused skilled who enjoys working across fundraising, volunteer engagement, events, and stakeholder management. Acting as an ambassador for the organisation, you will identify new partnership opportunities, support fundraising initiatives, coordinate community engagement activities, and help build a sustainable network of supporters and advocates.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining relationships with community groups,



businesses, schools, service clubs, and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinating and supporting fundraising volunteers and volunteer committees.
- Growing community and third-party fundraising activity through effective supporter stewardship and engagement.
- Planning and delivering fundraising events, community presentations, and engagement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate records, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activity through CRM and administrative systems.
- Representing the organisation at networking events, community forums, and stakeholder meetings.
