Monsoon Aquatics is one of Australia's leading marine livestock wholesalers, specialising in wild-collected and aquacultured coral, marine fish and invertebrates.

About the role

This is a hands‑on sales role where you'll build and maintain relationships with aquarium retailers, wholesalers and other industry customers.

You'll be responsible for helping customers find the right livestock for their businesses, keeping them informed about new arrivals and available stock, and providing excellent customer service from enquiry through to delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Developing new customer relationships and sales opportunities
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and other communication channels
- Promoting available coral, fish and invertebrate stock
- Updating livestock inventory on our online sales platform
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate livestock
- Processing orders accurately and coordinating with the packing and logistics teams
- Keeping customers informed about orders and freight
- Maintaining accurate customer and sales records
- Following up after sales to ensure customers are happy with their orders
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales with existing customers




- Working closely with our aquaculture and livestock teams to understand current and upcoming stock
- Travelling to visit customers and attend industry events several times per year
- Supporting the wider Monsoon team as required

About you

We're looking for someone who is friendly, energetic, organised and genuinely interested in marine aquariums. It also helps if you love a chat!

You will ideally have:

- Experience in sales, customer service or account management
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine interest in coral, marine fish and reef aquariums
- Good knowledge of marine aquarium livestock, or a willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently while also being a team player
- A positive, solutions-focused approach
- A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service

Experience working in the aquarium, aquaculture, pet, marine or related industries will be highly regarded.

You don't need to know everything about coral when you start - we're looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

The person we're looking for

We're looking for someone who can pick up the phone, build a relationship with a customer and genuinely understand what they need.

If you're the type of person who gets excited when a new shipment of coral arrives, enjoys talking about reef aquariums and loves helping customers find something special for their tanks, we'd love to hear from you.

Previous sales experience is valuable, but attitude, customer service skills and a genuine passion for marine aquariums are just as important.
