Maintain and service water infrastructure assets including dams, river systems and associated mechanical plant, ensuring all works are completed in line with trade standards, regulatory compliance, organisational requirements and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

- Support reliable water delivery by undertaking surveillance, inspection and monitoring of water supply assets to ensure the accurate quantity and quality of water is delivered to customers.
- Respond effectively to emergency and incident events by adhering to emergency management policies and procedures and participating in flood operations, dam safety activities, lock operations and piped water supply and treatment operations as required.




- Ensure high-quality documentation and reporting of maintenance and service activities to support operational decision-making, compliance obligations and effective stakeholder communication.

What you need

- With safety at the core of everything we do, we deliver reliable service, protect natural environments, and keep essential systems running.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering with a solid preference for Fitter Machinist (Metals) or equivalent mechanical trade certification.
- Demonstrated post-trade experience in mechanical maintenance, overhaul, repair and fabrication of metal components within industrial, utilities, water, energy, mining or heavy asset environments.
