Looking for a rewarding, hands on career? As a Works Plant Operator, you'll work alongside an experienced team to deliver road and infrastructure projects, operating and maintaining a range of plant and equipment across the municipality.

n

About the Role

n

The Works Plant Operator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

n

n
- Carry out maintenance and repair works on both sealed and unsealed roads.
n
- Operate a broad range of plant and machinery in a protected and effective manner.
n
- Perform drainage maintenance across Council's network, including pit cleaning, pipe and kerb repairs, and open drain clearing.
n
- Undertake concrete repair works, including grinding, asphalt wedging and reinstatements.
n
- Safely operate and maintain plant, machinery, equipment, and tools in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
n




- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with relevant codes of practice, OH&S; legislation, Council policies, and procedures.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining plant and equipment used in road maintenance and construction activities.
n
- Construction Induction Card.
n
- Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licence.
n
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
n
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
n
- Valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
n
