Action Auto Electrical & Mechanical is a well-established Brisbane-based business with over 50 years of experience providing quality mechanical and auto electrical services across a diverse range of fleet vehicles, equipment and machinery.

We are looking for qualified Light Vehicle and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our growing mechanical team at Pinkenba.

n

Our workload covers everything from Toyota Hilux, vans and light commercial fleet vehicles through to Mack trucks, prime movers, heavy vehicles and trailers.

n

About the Role

n

Working alongside our Workshop Manager and experienced trades team, you will carry out servicing, diagnostics,



preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs across a wide range of fleet vehicles.

n

Depending on your experience and trade background, you'll work across light vehicles, commercial vehicles, heavy trucks and trailers.

n

We are looking for mechanics who can work independently, contribute to the team and maintain a high standard of workmanship while keeping fleet vehicles safe, reliable and on the road.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out scheduled fleet servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
n
- Perform general mechanical repairs on light and/or heavy vehicles
n
- Work on vehicles ranging from Toyota Hilux and vans through to Mack trucks, prime movers and trailers
n
- Carry out inspections, fault finding and component replacements
n
- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
n
- Work independently and as part of a team
n
- Assist with general workshop duties when required
n
- Participate in the breakdown roster when required
n

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- A recognised trade qualification as a Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n
- A current manual driver's licence
n




- Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or fleet maintenance environment
n
- Strong diagnostic, servicing and mechanical repair skills
n
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
n
- A reliable, positive and hands-on attitude
n
- A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service
n

Additional experience and licences that would be advantageous:

n

n
- Heavy vehicle or trailer repair experience
n
- Air conditioning experience
n
- Truck licence (MR, HR or HC)
n
- Experience working on fleet vehicles
n
- Roadworthy inspection licence
n
