Workhorse Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy fabrication workshop manufacturing custom sheet metal components and industrial products.

This is a great temp to perm opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for stable, long-term work with a thriving manufacturer. The role offers plenty of variety across fabrication, welding, fitting and assembly, with most of the work based in the workshop.

ABOUT THE ROLE

- Either MIG or TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
- Light fabrication
- General fitting, assembly and repair work
- Operating press brakes, guillotines and power tools
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and sketches




- Completing quality checks on finished products
- Occasional site installation and repair work as required
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop

ABOUT YOU

- Fabrication Trade Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience
- Strong MIG or TIG welding skills
Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience operating workshop production machinery
- White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Forklift Licence preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A solid focus on workplace health and safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
