Role Description:

This full-time, on-site Welding Instructor role is based in Brighton, CO. The Welding Instructor will deliver hands-on and classroom instruction in welding techniques, safety practices, and equipment operation for entry-level and experienced learners. Daily responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, demonstrating proper welding procedures, supervising practice labs, and assessing learner performance and competency. The role also involves maintaining training equipment, enforcing safety protocols, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with project teams to align training with field requirements. The Welding Instructor will contribute to curriculum updates, support apprentices and trainees,



and help build a skilled welding workforce for RK Mechanical’s projects.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess strong Welding skills, including proficiency with Pipe welding and FCAW processes.
- Candidates should possess experience in Welding Inspection and quality control of welds and joints.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills for creating, updating, and organizing welding training programs.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of welding safety standards, codes, and best practices relevant to commercial and industrial construction.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and instructional skills, with the ability to mentor and coach learners with diverse experience levels.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple classes, schedules, and documentation requirements.
- Previous experience as a welding instructor, journeyman welder, or comparable role in mechanical or industrial construction is preferred.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS or equivalent) and a high school diploma or GED are required; additional technical training is a plus.
