HS Caterer Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Food Retail Service Manager to support our Operations Manager leading the day to day operations within the John Hunter Hospital retail precinct and the Royal Newcastle Centre.

About the Role

n

As Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our busy café outlets. Working closely with the management team, you will help drive performance, lead staff, and ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Support the coordination of day-to-day retail food operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
n
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of retail food service staff
n
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchasing to maintain stock availability
n
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
n
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HS Caterer policies and procedures
n




- Work collaboratively with Operations Management and the Executive team to drive continuous improvement
n

About You

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail food or café management role
n
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
n
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities
n
- Solid understanding of food safety and HACCP practices
n
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
n
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding service
