Our valued not for profit client is seeking an experienced Head of Credit, Risk & Compliance to join the Leadership Team in a permanent part time capacity (3 days/ week). This unique opportunity will bring your credit and risk expertise to an organisation where strong governance and responsible lending directly supports refugee and migrants in our community achieve economic independence through entrepreneurship or self employment opportunities.

Reporting to the CEO, this executive role will lead a small credit team and overseeing credit assessment and responsible lending, portfolio performance, and collections.You will also lead the organisation’s risk and compliance reporting, including regulatory and privacy obligations, maintain and develop risk registers, and compliance frameworks. A key focus of this role is to lead continuous improvement around the collection policies and processes, as well as ensuring abalanced approach to credit and risk with the organisation’s commitment to creating meaningful social impact for their clients.





The successful candidate will present withat least five years’ experience across credit, lending, risk and compliance, including credit assessment and portfolio management. You will bring a strong knowledge of responsible lending, credit risk, collections and regulatory requirements, together with experience developing and implementing effective risk and compliance frameworks. Joining the executive team, you will demonstrate a authentic style andcollaborative approach and highly developed people leadership skills. In addition to solid commercial judgement, analytical capability, and the ability to communicate complex matters effectively to stakeholders.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, that will require you to flex between the two in a purpose-driven environment. Experience gained in microfinance, community lending, non-bank lending or a purpose-led organisation will be highly regarded.
