LC Group NQ is looking for a Quarry Operations Coordinator to help coordinate our quarry materials, transport and civil operations across Mackay and surrounding areas.

We need someone who understands how the industry works — materials, trucks, machinery, operators, changing schedules and clients who need things done.

n

Working closely with our Director, you'll coordinate daily operations, organise drivers and deliveries, ensure materials are ready when required and keep clients informed.

n

You'll also keep across what's happening in the Mackay civil industry, identify upcoming projects and help position LC Group to be involved.

n

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck in the same office every day. Your time will vary between the office, quarry, client sites and projects, with flexibility around the role.

Key responsibilities

n

- Coordinate drivers, trucks, plant and daily operations
n
- Plan upcoming deliveries and allocate resources
n
- Ensure materials are processed and ready when required
n
- Coordinate quarry material supply, screening, loading and transport
n
- Communicate daily requirements with drivers and operators
n
- Liaise with clients regarding materials, deliveries and project requirements
n
- Keep track of current and upcoming jobs
n
- Visit quarries, client sites and projects as required
n
- Keep across upcoming civil and construction projects throughout the Mackay region
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the industry
n
- Work closely with the Director to plan workloads and priorities
n
- Think ahead, solve problems and keep projects moving
n

About you

n

You might currently be a civil supervisor, leading hand, truck driver, loader/excavator operator, quarry operator or transport coordinator who's ready to use your practical experience in a different way.

n

We're looking for someone with:

n

n
- Experience in civil construction, quarrying, earthmoving,



transport or bulk materials
n
- A practical understanding of trucks, machinery, materials and civil operations
n
- Knowledge of the Mackay civil and construction industry
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle changing priorities
n
- Confidence communicating with clients, drivers, operators and management
n
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
n
- The ability to work independently and make decisions
n
- A willingness to get out on site and stay connected with what's happening
n
- The initiative to see what needs doing and make it happen
n

n

A truck licence and/or loader or excavator tickets would be highly regarded but aren't essential.

n

You don't need to come from an office background. Practical industry experience, attitude and initiative are what matter to us.
