PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

n

Support the operational control of UQ Res. Manage property maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment for the residents and staff.

n

DUTIES

n

n
- Support the delivery of maintenance, including preventative and reactive maintenance.
n
- Provide support to execute maintenance programs.
n
- Assist with the development and ongoing improvement including roll out of operating procedures.
n
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance schedules and coordinate the delivery of site audits.
n
- Effectively oversee and manage building annual fire certification reviews.
n
- Oversight of all service contracts and project management and supervision of key contractor projects.
n
- Provide preventative and reactive maintenance services as required.
n




- Assisting in the review and updating of building risk assessments and action plans.
n
- Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments.
n
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
n
- Inspect building structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
n
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimise costs.
n
- Oversee the Facilities Officers and external contractors and supervise all staff facilities.
n
- Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.
n
- Coordinate maintenance including liaising with residents in line with Residential Tenancies Authority requirements and issuing entry notices.

SELECTION CRITERIA

n

n
- Experience working in site operations in a customer services-based business
n
- Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
n
- Experience in implementation and on-going management of asset management tools
n
- Ability to undertake multiple varied tasks with a minimum of direct supervision
n
- Proven experience in leading a team, providing best in class customer service
n
- Excellent communication, presentation, organisation skills and attention to detail
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
n

Desirable

n

n
- Experience working in hospitality, accommodation, services, hotel, retail industry
n
- Formal qualification in facilities management and/or health and safety
n
- A trades background or relevant tertiary qualification
n
- Experience using Star Rez (Accommodation Booking System)
n
