Bayside Health Professionals is seeking a Remedial Massage Therapist to join our team in Capalaba, QLD. This is a contract position that offers flexibility whilst providing therapeutic services to our valued clients. As a Remedial Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality massage therapy treatments that promote healing, improve mobility, and enhance overall wellness.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting thorough client consultations and assessments to identify muscular tension, injuries, and postural issues
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans using remedial massage techniques
- Performing hands‑on massage therapy treatments including deep tissue, trigger point, and myofascial release techniques
- Providing advice to clients on stretching exercises, ergonomics, and lifestyle modifications to support their recovery
- Maintaining detailed and accurate client records and progress notes
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and professional treatment environment
- Building and maintaining robust client relationships to encourage ongoing engagement with services
What we're looking for
- Current qualification in Remedial Massage Therapy from a recognised training provider or equivalent
- Current qualified indemnity insurance
- Registration or eligibility for registration with relevant professional bodies (such as AAMT or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse client populations
- A genuine passion for promoting health and wellbeing through natural therapies
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule effectively
- Willingness to undertake continued professional development and stay current with industry best practices
