Buyer

Fixed Term Contract: 5 Months

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Key Competencies

n

n
- Minimum Grade 12
n
- National Diploma in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement or buying role
n
- Solid ERP system experience (SAP, Sage, Accpac or similar)
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
n
- Proven negotiation and supplier management skills
n
- Must have a valid driver's license
n
- Pre-employment medical required
n

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

n

n
- Procure goods and services in accordance with company procurement procedures
n
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations
n
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and service levels
n




- Create and process purchase orders on the ERP system
n
- Source and develop reliable suppliers
n
- Monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
n
- Procure mining, crushing, workshop and ready-mix plant spares and consumables
n
- Track and expedite outstanding orders
n
- Maintain procurement records and documentation
n
- Support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Ensure the uninterrupted supply of operationally critical materials and services
n
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
n

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
