You will take ownership of the accounts receivable function end-to-end, based at the Brisbane engineering office and reporting to the Business Manager. You will raise accurate invoices against project and service milestones, allocate receipts, chase overdue accounts professionally and give the leadership team a explicit read on where the cash is. This is a full function role in a small team, so you will see the whole cycle rather than one narrow step of it. The role can be worked full time, or part time on school hours.

Key responsibilities

- Creating, reviewing and issuing customer invoices and credit notes in Business Central against approved project, job and service documentation
- Processing and allocating customer receipts, and resolving short payments, overpayments and unallocated amounts
- Monitoring aged receivables, issuing statements and reminders, and following up overdue accounts promptly and professionally
- Working with project and delivery teams to resolve invoice queries, missing purchase orders and billing disputes
- Reconciling customer accounts and the debtor sub-ledger, and supporting month-end reporting and cash flow forecasting
- Keeping customer master data, records and approvals accurate and audit-ready




- Providing accounts payable and payroll coverage during periods of annual leave

About you

- Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and debtor follow-up
- Confident using an ERP or accounting platform; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly regarded
- Comfortable stepping into accounts payable and payroll tasks to cover annual leave
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills, and sound Excel and Outlook capability
- Experience in a project, service or trade-based business is desirable
- A certificate level qualification in accounts administration or bookkeeping is desirable
- The right to work in Australia and willingness to complete pre-employment checks
