About the opportunity:

n

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Platemaker or Platemaker Trainee to join our team in Somerton, Victoria. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced platemaker or someone looking to learn within the label manufacturing industry.

n

Reporting to the Pre-press Manager, you will be an integral member of the Pre-production team, responsible for preparing printing plates to meet print room needs.

n

Key Responsibilities include:

n

- Accurately produce plates to meet the requirements of the print room and production schedules
n
- Review and interpret print job bags to produce plates
n




- Ensure quality of the plates are too standard and require no re-work or create production errors or delays
n
- Managing plate storage and filing
n

n

To be successful in this role you will need:

n

n
- Ideally, platemaking experience with Esko CDI's and DFS software and/or Agfa Apogee (system and knowledge preferred but not essential)
n
- Experience in label production and proficiency with Esko software would be highly regarded. Candidates with previous manufacturing or production experience are also encouraged to apply.

- Able to work autonomously

- To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
