Clinical Nurse - Antimicrobial Stewardship Service (AMS)

Key Responsibilities include:

n

- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
n
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of AMS principles and the integral role of nurses in AMS, with the ability to promote evidence-based nursing practice that supports safe and appropriate antimicrobial use and improve patient outcomes.

- Surveillance: Contribute to AMS surveillance, monitoring and reporting activities through the effective use of databases,



electronic information systems and data analysis to inform quality improvement and service development.

Remuneration value up to $73 647 p.a, comprising salary rates $57.76 - $61.85 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)). (Part time position, 40 hours p.f.).
