Position Summary:

- Bureau Veritas is seeking motivated and enthusiastic trainees to join its Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Traineeship Program, commencing in January 2027. The program provides practical in-field experience in NDT methodologies alongside Engineering studies at Certificate or Advanced Diploma level.
n
- Trainees who successfully complete the Certificate III and meet the required technical and non-technical requirements may have the opportunity to complete an Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical) and advanced NDT qualifications. Successful completion of the applicable NDT training courses provides nationally recognised qualifications through AINDT and can enable trainees to work independently as Non-Destructive Testing Technicians within Bureau Veritas.

- All qualification and training expenses are fully funded by Bureau Veritas.

Responsibilities:

n

n
- Participate in practical, in-field NDT training and experience.
n
- Complete the Certificate III in Engineering - Technical during the first year.
n
- Undertake Level II AINDT certifications in Materials Technology, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle Testing.
n
- Participate in specialist NDT training during Years 2-3.
n
- Complete NDT method certification in Ultrasonic Testing (Welds).
n
- Accumulate practical NDT experience.
n
- Participate in mentorship and knowledge transfer activities.
n
- Attend various sites and locations across the region as required.
n
- Work dynamic hours and maintain the flexibility required by the traineeship.
n
- Gain exposure to additional areas that may include Oil and Gas, Mining, drone operation, and other task‐specific training programs.
n

Qualifications:

n

n
- Year 12 with passing marks in Mathematics, English, and Science; or
n
- Mechanical aptitude or an interest in how mechanical things work.
n
- Ability to successfully pass a mathematical aptitude test.
n

- Candidates located in Australia may be considered, with the program specifically seeking candidates located in Perth, Western Australia.

- Year 1 - Establishing the Foundations
n
- Certificate III in Engineering - Technical completion.
n
- Level II AINDT certifications in Materials Technology, Dye Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle Testing.

- One day per week study leave support.

- Years 2-3 - Specialist Training
n
- NDT method certification in Ultrasonic Testing (Welds).

- Practical experience accumulation.
