Humero Recruitment Partners are partnering with a well-recognised not for profilt organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant for an initial 2-month contract based in Brisbane's western suburbs, with a strong view to permanency for the right candidate.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of core financial accounting responsibilities across month-end close, statutory reporting, and transactional finance activities. This role requires someone technically sound who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and hitting the ground running from day one.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and prepayments accurately and on time
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances
- Support month-end close processes and preparation of management reporting




- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and compliance returns
- Provide hands‑on transactional finance support to the broader team as required

About You

- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
- Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar hands‑on accounting role
- Comfortable with transactional finance work alongside broader reporting responsibilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Available immediately or on a short notice period
