High Intensity Support Workers – Mental Health and Complex Care

Depending on each participant's individual needs, your responsibilities may include:

n

n
- Providing one-to-one, two-to-one or group-based support
n
- Supporting participants with complex mental health needs
n
- Implementing behaviour support and risk-management strategies
n
- Using trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques
n
- Following individual support plans, behaviour support plans and clinical instructions
n
- Supporting community participation, appointments and daily activities
n
- Administering medication within your training and scope of practice
n
- Communicating effectively with participants, families, clinical teams and other professionals
n
- Responding calmly and professionally to challenging or unexpected situations
n

n

Potential to travel to participants within the surrounding communities including Yass.

n
