As a Senior or Lead Secondary Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

- Designing protection and control systems across transmission and distribution networks.
n
- Developing HV substation secondary designs, including SCADA, metering, and communications systems.
n
- Engaging directly with utilities and Network Service Providers (NSPs) to ensure seamless project execution.
n
- Working across both advisory and delivery functions, maintaining visibility of the commercial and project management aspects behind the designs you produce.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and delivery of secondary systems for high-voltage substations and grid connection projects.
n
- Collaborate with clients, utilities, and NSPs to ensure project requirements are met.
n
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
n
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all designs and implementations.
n
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for renewable energy and hybrid systems.

To excel in this role, you will need:

- Extensive experience in secondary systems design within transmission and distribution networks gained at a consultancy, utility, EPC, or similar organization.
n
- Proven ability to engage directly with clients and NSPs, demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a keen desire to build and enhance systems and processes.

- Experience at a Senior or Lead-level, with a demonstrated ability to take on increasing responsibilities as the team grows.
