Part-Time / Casual Handyman and Property Maintenance Worker

LUMYH is seeking a reliable and practical team member to undertake handyman work, gutter cleaning, gardening, rubbish removal and general property maintenance. This is a part-time or casual position, with additional hours potentially available during busy periods. The right candidate will have the opportunity to progress to full-time employment. The role includes both independent and team-based work. Applicants must be confident working alone, managing an allocated schedule and completing jobs without direct supervision, while also working cooperatively and safely within a team.

Key responsibilities

- Minor home repairs, basic carpentry, patching, sealing and assembly
n
- Repairing or replacing doors, locks, handles, flyscreens and fixtures
n
- Vacuum gutter cleaning and inspections
n
- Lawn mowing, edging, brush cutting, hedging, pruning and weeding
n
- Green-waste, household and general rubbish removal
n
- Pressure cleaning and external property maintenance
n
- Taking clear before-and-after photographs
n
- Following company safety procedures
n
- Leaving every property clean, tidy and safe
n

About you

n

n




- Relevant handyman, property-maintenance, gardening, gutter cleaning or rubbish-removal experience
n
- The ability to work safely and efficiently both independently and within a team
n
- The physical fitness required for outdoor work, manual handling and rubbish removal
n
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools, gardening machinery and gutter-cleaning equipment
n
- Strong reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
n
- The ability to manage an allocated schedule
n
- Positive communication and customer-service skills
n
- A respectful approach when working with older people, people with disabilities and other vulnerable clients
n
- A National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or a willingness to obtain them
n
