Casual Disability Support Practitioner (Multiple Roles)

Asina is an NDIS provider supporting people right across NSW with an office in Armidale. We're hiring three Disability Support Practitioners for set weekly roster lines here in Armidale. The job is about building skills and independence, not just providing care. Each role is a fixed line.

Key responsibilities

Daily routines, personal care and independence at home, done the same way each time, because consistency is the support

Getting out into the community: appointments, activities, life skills

Working to each person's goals and writing clear shift notes in the My Asina app

Being a familiar face the family can count on

About you

A genuine understanding of autism, or the willingness to learn how each person needs things done and then do them that way every time

Respectful support for LGBTQI+ and trans people, including using correct names and pronouns

Experience in disability support, aged care or similar, or the right attitude and a willingness to be taught

NDIS Worker Screening Check and NSW Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain both

Current First Aid and CPR

Driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle

NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed before your first shift

Availability for the full roster line you apply for

Casual employment under the SCHADS Award, Level 2 pay point 1, $45.28 an hour including casual loading, plus 12% super, with a view to permanent for the right person

A fixed weekly roster you can plan your life around, with hours between 8:00-4:30PM Monday - Friday.

The My Asina app for everything on shift: roster, clock in and out, shift notes and task checklists, participant profiles and support plans, your hours and pay, timesheets, leave and availability, compliance documents with expiry reminders, open shifts on the job board, messages with the office, and your training

24/7 on-call support from our management team, so you're never on your own on shift





Quality training through the Asina Academy, our internal training program, with paid professional development

Room to grow into senior practitioner and management roles as Asina grows across NSW

Extra hours and overtime available with the same participants, including after hours and weekends at penalty rates

About us

Asina is an NDIS provider supporting people right across NSW from our office in Armidale. Asina is committed to secure, respectful and inclusive support.

The Rosters Available:

Roster Line 1, around 33-35 hours a week.

Two young adults in one home. Monday to Friday, most days from 8:30am,finishing between 2:30pm and 5:30pm.

Roster Line 2, around 29 hours a week.

One young adult working toward independence, plus two hours each Thursday with a family member in the same home. Monday to Friday, starting between 8:30am and 10am, finishing by 4:30pm.

Roster Line 3, around 10 hours a week.

Late mornings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday across two participants a few minutes apart. Suits someone wanting school-hours work, with room to grow.

As part of the interview, all participants will be part of the process to ensure the right fit.
