Stellar Experiences is seeking a fun and friendly Disability Support Worker to join our team. We provide social outings and overnights to people with mild to moderate disabilities between the ages of 16-35.

Key Responsibilities include:

n

- Facilitate group based social outings and recreational activities for our guests.
n
- Assist guests with 1:1 goal based support to improve their independent living skills.
n
- Promote social interaction, inclusion, and community participation.
n
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with guests and encourage independence and self-advocacy skills while offering appropriate levels of assistance.

Requirements:

n

- Certification or willingness to obtain certification in First Aid and CPR.
n
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
n




- Previous experience working in disability support is not required.
n
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with people.
n
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n

Working Conditions:

n

Permanent Part Time. This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours are often flexible.

n

Work environments may include guests' homes, community settings, and recreational venues.
