An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapist - Senior (Mental Health - Lavender Mother and Baby Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world‐class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern Current South Wales region of Australia.

You will
n
n
- Deliver advanced clinical and advisory services within single and multi-disciplinary teams
n
- Apply advanced professional judgement to complex clinical problems utilising evidence based practices, clinical expertise, multi‐specialty skills and extensive ongoing professional development
n
- Facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical practices, procedures and workplace guidelines
n
- Assist the facility based Clinical Educator in providing student placement opportunities and clinical education within the GCHHS to physiotherapy undergraduate and postgraduate students
n

About you
n
To be successful in this position you will require:
n
n
- A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy
n
- AHPRA Registration
n
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
n
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
n
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
n
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Temporary part time (22.80 hrs per fortnight, up to 10 months)

- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

About Us

The Mother and Baby Unit is a purpose built, specialist four bed unit located at Gold Coast University Hospital. Women with significant/complex perinatal mental health problems within the first 12 months post‐partum that cannot safely be managed by community mental health services and their non‐ambulatory babies may be admitted to the inpatient program.
