About the Role

n

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Design Coordinator (Electrical Engineer) to support the successful delivery of major electrical infrastructure, data centre, industrial, and commercial construction projects.

n

Working closely with project managers, design consultants, construction teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will coordinate electrical design activities, ensure technical compliance, and maintain alignment between design intent and project delivery.

n

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects in a growing business while working alongside experienced engineering and project delivery professionals.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Coordinate electrical design packages across all stages of project delivery.
n
- Review and manage drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
n
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, client expectations, legislation, and Australian Standards.
n
- Facilitate design coordination between electrical systems and other project disciplines.
n
- Provide technical support throughout design,



procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
n
- Resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and constructability challenges.
n
- Manage RFIs, design changes, technical queries, and engineering documentation.
n
- Support project planning by identifying design risks, dependencies, and critical interfaces.
n
- Build solid relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
n
- Support quality assurance processes and maintain accurate design records and documentation.
n

About You

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
n
- 3-8 years' experience in electrical design, project engineering, design coordination, or design management.
n
- Experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial, building services, or EPC project environments.
n
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant Australian Standards.
n
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
n
- Excellent organisational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering document management systems.
n

Highly Desirable

- Exposure to BIM coordination and digital engineering environments.
n
- Experience working for electrical contractors or project delivery organisations.
n




- Understanding of commissioning and project handover processes.
n
- Work on large-scale and technically challenging projects.
