Excellent opportunity to join a highly successful and growing precision engineering company located in Melbourne's North-West.

n

This well-established business specialises in the manufacture of high-precision tooling, injection mould tooling, polyurethane tooling and specialist engineered components. Due to continued growth and investment in new equipment, they are seeking an experienced Mastercam Programmer / CNC Machinist to join their team.

n

This is a true hands-on machining position where you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC milling machines while working on a variety of custom and small batch work.

n

The company has recently invested in new Mazak machinery and is moving into a brand-recent facility, making this an excellent time to join a growing and progressive business.

n

Duties will include:

n

n
- Programming CNC milling machines using Mastercam
n
- Setting and operating Mazak CNC machining centres
n
- Producing one-off and small batch precision components
n




- Working from engineering drawings through to finished product
n
- Tool selection, setup and process optimisation
n
- Working in a toolroom and jobbing shop environment
n
- Assisting with continuous improvement of machining processes
n
- Using Mastercam and SolidWorks software
n

TO APPLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

n

n
- Mastercam programming experience
n
- Mazak CNC milling experience
n
- Ability to set and operate CNC machining centres
n
- Experience producing precision components
n
- Toolroom or jobbing shop background
n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
n

n

This is a permanent full-time position offering excellent working conditions, long-term job security and an outstanding hourly rate.

The successful applicant will receive:

n

n
- $55 - $60 per hour (depending on experience)
n
- Day shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
n
- 12:00 noon finish every Friday
n
- Brand-new facility
n
- Excellent team environment
n
