Vorstrom Vacuum Equipment is looking for a Cadet Draftperson to join the design and engineering team in Warwick. This is an chance for someone leaving school or early in their career to start a career in engineering drafting. You will be supported and trained through a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, with on-the-job training across the range of vacuum trucks and tankers. Applicants who are completing or have completed a Certificate IV are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities
n
Preparation and revision of engineering drawings under supervision
n
Learning to read and interpret drawings, specifications and bills of materials
n
Using CAD software (Solidworks) to create and update drawings and models
n
Complete a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting
n
Liaise with the engineering, production and workshop teams
n
Potential to support the commissioning team
n

School leavers (or soon to be) welcome
n
Also open to those completing (or have completed) Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (or similar)
n
Attention to detail and desire to learn
n
Comfortable using computers
n
Previous CAD experience is a bonus (but not required)

Able to work well in a team

Full support and sponsorship to start or continue a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting

On-the-job mentoring from an experienced drafting and engineering team

Hands-on experience across real projects in vacuum equipment design and manufacturing
