We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our talented culinary team at the Eagle Heights Mountain Resort. As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations and supporting the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time position based on Tamborine Mountain, Queensland.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management
n
- Overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a timely and efficient manner
n
- Supervising and training kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
n
- Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders for necessary supplies and ingredients
n
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
n
- Continuously seeking ways to improve kitchen operations and streamline processes
n

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, resort-style environment
n
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes
n
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of developing and inspiring kitchen staff
n
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations
n
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and a positive guest experience
